Welcome to Granbury High School and my website! My name is Carrie Murphy and I have the privilege of working with students with special needs. This is the start of my 7th year as a Pirate, and my 12th year of teaching Special Education. I earned my Bachelors in Human Sciences Education, aka Home Economics, from Tarleton in 1998. I did teach Family and Consumer Sciences at Crowley Middle School for one year, but quickly found working with special needs students, and adapting curriculum to make ALL students successful a rewarding challenge. I love my job, my students and their parents, they make my job a joy!
A little bit about ME...
I graduated from Stephenville High School and I still live in the area today. I have been married for almost 12 years, and we have 2 children ages 10 & 7, who keep us very busy with their various sports and church activities. I enjoy family time, reading, traveling and hog hunting. The most important thing you should know about me is that I love what I do and I work very hard to make sure that my students are always learning. I love the students I am blessed to have and I hope that together we can reach their goals in a safe yet engaging environment.
