Forensics (9660)

1 Credit – Grades 11-12

Prerequisites:2 years of science * 4TH SCIENCEOPTION

Ever watch CSI and think “Do they really do thatstuff” or “I want to do that”? InForensic Science you will learn that there is more to CSI than littleflashlights and sunglasses. Students willlearn terminology and investigativeprocedures related to crime scene, questioning,

interviewing, criminalbehavior characteristics, and scientific procedures used to solve crimes. Using scientific methods, students will collect and analyze evidence through case studies and simulated crime scenes suchas fingerprint analysis, ballistics, bloodspatter bones, autopsies and DNA.Students will learn the history, legal aspects, and career options for forensic science. Do youhave what it takes to be a true Crime Scene Investigator? Honors creditwill be earned.

 
 
 

Additional Information: Project each 6-Weeks, except the 6th6-weeks! To end the year we will work a crime scene from the beginning to the final paper work describing the "who" the "how" and the"why"!
