Pre-Kindergarten Eligibility
Texas school districts offer pre-kindergarten for students who meet one of the below requirements:
- unable to speak and comprehend English, limited-English proficient (LEP); or
- educationally disadvantaged (eligible to participate in the national free or reduced price lunch program); or
- homeless; or
- child of an active military parent of the U.S. armed forces; or
- child of a member of the U.S. armed forces injured or killed while serving on active duty.
