Meet Mrs. Moore
My name is Holli Moore and I am so glad to be at Oak Woods School. I am married to a wonderful man named Mike. I am very blessed to have such a great husband. We have two kiddos and two dogs. This is my daughter and me at a Mavs game!
I love my two precious children. My little girl is Mamie and she is 4 and a half, and my little boy is Maximus and he is 14 months. They are so much fun and keep me very busy!
Last but not least we have two crazy and sweet dogs. We have a boxer named Molly that thinks she is a lap dog, and we have a shih tzu named Chloe. They are like sisters, but Chloe is totally the boss (don't tell Molly)! Here is a picture of them on the furniture that they shouldn't be on!
I grew up in Graham, Texas and graduated from Graham High School in 1994. After high school I went to Tarleton State University and received my degree in interdisciplinary studies in 1997. Upon graduation I interviewed and got a job teaching first grade at Emma Roberson Elementary. I taught first grade for three years, and also worked on my master's degree at the same time. I decided after three years I wanted experience with different aged kids so I went to "the old" GMS and taught 8th grade language arts for one year, and then AMS was built so I went there to teach 7th grade language arts. This is now my 11th year as a counselor and my fifth year here at Oak Woods.
In my spare time I like to play with my kiddos, and hang out with my husband. I also love to shop, but I must admit I shop more for my son and daughter than I do for myself now. I love to read mystery and psychological thriller books and also magazines about decorating and I love to knit (even though I only know how to knit scarves). I also love to look up projects and other fabulous things on Pinterest.
