Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!! I am so excited to your child's teacher!! 4th grade is a big step for your child as he/she makes the transition from the primary grades to the intermediate grades. My hope is that we can work together to help make the transition as smoothly as possible as he/she grows by leaps and bounds physically, emotionally, and academically this year. It is extremely important to me that your child feels safe and secure while in my classroom. I want his/her self-esteem to soar to new heights while we learn. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns as we begin this exciting year.  I will be teaching reading, spelling, English, and Texas history in my class. Writing is a big part of 4th grade, and we will be learning how to write like authors!!!
