Hi! My name is Mrs. Mellencamp. I am so excited to be a part of the First Grade Team! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It's going to be a fun year full of adventures and lots of learning. I want to know all about you, but first I'm going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and I am the youngest of three girls. My sister's names are Emie and Bobbie Jo. They are awesome sisters! I graduated from Northeastern State University with a degree in Elementary Education.
I taught 24 years in OKlahoma and 7 years in Texas. Teaching First Grade at Oak Woods is absolutely the best job in the world. I love helping First Graders prepare for Second Grade.
I am married to a great guy, his name is Bob. We have five fabulous kids. Jared, Kendra, Andrew, Jagar and Slyder. Jared is married to Krystal, and they have a baby boy named Hunter. So that makes me a Grandma. I enjoy spending time with my family. They are so much fun!
