Parents, I thought you might like to know a little about me.
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelors degree in Elementary education including
early childhood education. I have a specialization in Reading. I am also certified in ESL and Gifted and Talented. I received my masters degree in Elementary Counseling from Louisiana State University.
I have taught for 20 years, mostly in Texas. I started teaching in Louisiana where I taught 1st grade and kindergarten. While living in Nacogdoches, I taught kindergarten for 4 years in a private school.
Then I moved to public school where I taught Kinder, 1st, and also became a Reading Recovery teacher and Title One reading teacher for 4 years. I was also a counselor for 2 years.
My passion is reading.
I am married and have two grown boys, two dogs, two cats, and 7 horses.
