Holidays Around the World – Parent Meeting
The third grade will be exploring how various countries celebrate during this holiday season. On December 20th, we will have a day of holiday centers, where students will travel from room to room to visit the countries. We will need many parents to help sponsor a room or country. If you would like to volunteer to help with the holiday activities we will have a parent meeting on Tuesday, December 4 at 9:00. Notes will be sent home soon with more information. We will need many parents to help make this day a success.
Classroom Economy! - Our Brainiacs earn classroom dollars every day for completing homework, successfully taking AR tests, and for good behavior. This is done to mirror the way adults earn a paycheck for their hard work. They are able to use their money every other Friday to purchase various trinkets, books and fun classroom supplies.
This is a great reward system, and the students really look forward to our Payday Fridays. If you would like to help send supplies for the store, it would be greatly appreciated. These types of items are gladly welcomed:
· Kids’ meal toys
· Party favor type of items
· Tiny animals, dolls, or figurines
· Stationery – small journals/notepads
· Dollar store types of items
· Fun erasers, pens, or pencils
· Other interesting school supplies
