• About Mrs. Ransleben

This will be my tenth year teaching at Emma, my ninth year teaching in first grade.  I completed my student teaching at Emma Roberson in the spring of 2008 in Kindergarten and First Grade.  I graduated from Western Governors University in July 2008 with a teaching degree in elementary education.
I have lived in Granbury my whole life.  I actually went to Emma Roberson when I was a young girl and graduated from Granbury High School.
I am married to a wonderful man, Kurt.  We were married on August 9th of 2013.  My last name is a difficult German name to pronounce.  Think of the name as having 3 syllables: "/ron/sleigh/ben".  I do have to admit I love hearing others attempt to pronounce my last name - students and parents alike.  They will get it with some time and practice.

We have two daughters - Cassidy, age 18 that is a Freshman at University of North Texas, and Caitlyn, age 15 who is a Sophomore and is also a GHS Pirate cheerleader.  We also have twin sons, Carson and Carter, that will be two years old on September 13th.  All 4 of our kiddos sure keep us super busy!  We also have a cat named Engine.
I love to spend time with my family.  I have always dreamed of teaching and teaching young children is my passion.  I strongly believe that when teaching is made fun and exciting, everyone will learn.
Thank you for getting to know about me and my family.  I look forward to getting to know about you and your family.
