    ~Counselor ~

I am from East Texas, Grapeland, Texas to be exact.  My small roots have taught me a lot and given me an appreciation for all walks of life.  After graduating from Grapeland in 2002, I went on to complete my Bachelors in Political Science and History in 2006 from Tarleton State University.  I worked in business for several years before teaching presented itself to me via the TMATE program in Fort Worth.  My first job was at Brawner Intermediate and I loved it.  Over the last 8 years I have also worked at Baccus Elementary, Emma Roberson Elementary and now at Granbury Middle School.  This is my 5th year in counseling and my 8th in education. I can honestly say that my time in Granbury ISD has been the most amazing years of my career.  I am overjoyed to continue sharing my love for education and personal development with the students, parents, and the staff of GMS.

Currently I serve as the Secretary to the Texas School Counseling Association and work as Therapist with The Art Station in Fort Worth.    In my free time I can be caught spending time with my dogs (Finnley and Louie), friends, and family.  My truest loves in life are music, art, books, and adventures.  When I have the chance I love going to Canton Trade Days, a trip I have been making since I was a little girl.   I love to craft, read and take on new challenges.  Being active is very important to me and enjoy of number of modalities such as:  Spartan races, skating, lifting weights, etc.
My greatest inspiration lies in the various experiences I have had in my life.  I deeply value creativity and originality, therefore anything encompassing those aspects enthralls me. I thank you for the profound priviiligie to work with parents and students.
