March 26, 2015 - The GHS Project Graduation is hosting its 13th Annual 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
March 25, 2015 - Whitley Tipton, a senior on the Granbury Lady Pirate softball team, will be continuing her education and playing career at Lyon College following her graduation from Granbury High School in May 2015. The announcement was made on March 25, 2015, at GHS.
March 20, 2015 - Morgan Arnold, a junior cadet in the Granbury Marine Corps JROTC program, has been selected to attend the United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar to be held during three sessions in June 2015.
March 20, 2015 - Thirteen Granbury ISD students from Granbury High School, Crossland Ninth Grade Center, Acton Middle School, and Granbury Middle School continued to excel with science projects at the 65th Fort Worth Regional Science Fair held February 22-23, 2015, at the University of Texas at Arlington.
March 20, 2015 - Project Graduation recently received a big donation of $1,014 from Brent Northcutt Farmers Insurance and Financial Services – all made from free throws at Pirate and Lady Pirate basketball games during the 2014-15 season.
March 17, 2015 - Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center theater arts students will preview their One Act Play performance during an open dress rehearsal on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 7:00 P.M. in the Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center. The public is invited to attend the free performance.
March 17, 2015 - Granbury High School seniors Sam Sonderer and Hannah Roberts were honored as the Young Texan and the Young Tex-Anne for March 2015 by the Granbury Optimist Club. The two were recognized at the club breakfast on March 17, 2015.
March 9, 2015 - GHS Pirate Band members traveled to Colorado on March 4-8, 2015, for the biennial spring trip which featured a concert at Columbine High School in addition to a couple of days of skiing at the Loveland Ski Area west of Denver.

February 26, 2015 - Granbury High School art teacher Mike Tabor and former Lady Pirate basketball coach Leta Andrews were recently honored as Distinguished Alumni by Tarleton State University’s alumni association. The two educators were recognized during a gala on February 21, 2015.
February 26, 2015 - Granbury High School will be hosting several softball teams at a tourney sponsored by Total Equipment and Service. The three-day tournament will be on March 5-7, 2015.
February 26, 2015 - Choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center earned 87 medals at the UIL Region 7 solo and ensemble contest held February 7, 2015.
February 25, 2015 - The Granbury Marine Corps JROTC precision teams competed in the JROTC Service Championships on February 19-21, 2015, in Anniston, Alabama. One squad received a bid to the national-level contest featuring the best JROTC units from all service branches.
February 20, 2015 - Theater arts students at Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center performed selected scenes from notable plays during Dessert Bar Theatre on February 19, 2015, at the Lakeside Baptist Church Ministry Center. The program also included performances from the Texas Thespian Festival competition as well as a preview of the upcoming One Act Play.

March 23, 2015 - JV Lady Pirates won third at the District 8-5A preview tournament on Monday at Mountain Valley Country Club in Joshua. Trisha Richards led the squad with 108 to earn third place individually. Others were Kaylie Garcia (117), Zoe Strickland (120), Mattie Allen (127), and Mia Munoz (131).
March 23, 2015 - JV Pirates were in action at the District 8-5A preview golf tournament on Monday at Mountain Valley Country Club in Joshua. The Purple team won second with a score of 369 and was led by Andrew Dunn, who finished first individually at 78. Others were: Hunter Trice (91), David Scott (99), Hayden Moore (101), and Kaman Wilkinson (110). The Gold squad shot 427 included A.J. Henderson (105), Seth Johnson (107), James Aleshire (113), and Hunter Land (126).
March 20-21, 2015 - Lady Pirates played through the mud and rain at the Midlothian Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie. Juliana Eckley led the team with rounds of 88-91=179. Mollee-Jo Crain followed with 88-96=184, Tifton Pucket had 101-87=188, Laurel Burns shot 95-99=194, and Alexis Gapinski finished with 102-103=205.
March 17, 2015 - The Pirates won the Trinity Classic golf tournament on Tuesday at the Texas Star Golf Course in Euless. With a Purple team score of 321, the squad was led by Davis McDuff and Brady Wright at 79. Other team members were Luke Elliott (80), Harrison Knight (83), and Zach Wall (84). The Gold team shot 373 and included Blake Brown (89), Anson Wilson (91), Will Warner (94), Karsten Harrison (99), and Sam Sonderer (100).
March 16, 2015 - Two Lady Pirate JV squads competed in the Saginaw Invitational on Monday at the Meadowbrook Golf Club in Fort Worth, placing third and fifth overall. Varsity teams from Fort Worth Arlington Heights and Azle took first and second place. The top GHS team consisted of Madeline Phillips (100), Skylar Woodward (100), Reagan Wilkinson (114), Kylie Moore (107), and Jenni Prater (114) while the other squad was composed of Trisha Richards (120), Kaylie Garcia (116), Mia Munoz (115), Mattie Allen (117), and Zoe Strickland (119). Phillips and Woodward tied for fifth place individually, with Phillips winning a scorecard playoff.
March 16, 2015 - JV Pirates placed third with a team score of 340 at the Saginaw golf invitational on Monday at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Fort Worth. Wade Ballinger led the squad and earned third individually at 75. Others on the team were Andrew Dunn (84), Mike Wisely (87), Hunter Trice (94), and Hayden Moore (104). A second squad scored 420 with team members Kaman Wilkinson (98), James Aleshire (104), A.J. Henderson (105), Seth Johnson (108), David Scott (109), and Hunter Land (111).
March 14, 2015 - Pirates def. Fort Smith Ark. 1-0 and tied Keller Timber Creek 4-4 in nine innings during a Saturday doubleheader at Tidwell Field. Freshman Lachlyn McPhie pitched a two-hit shutout for the win over Fort Smith.
March 12-14, 2015 - JV Pirate baseball teams competed at the Burleson Centennial tournament.
March 13, 2015 - Pirates def. Mustang Okla. 3-0 and fell to Keller Timber Creek 11-9 at home on Friday after Denison baseball tournament was cancelled early.
March 7, 2015 - The Pirate varsity purple squad placed sixth with a team score of 327 at the Aledo Bearcat Brawl golf tourney on Saturday at the Split Rail Links & Golf Club. Zach Wall led the team with 76 with others being Lucas Elliott (78), Brady Wright (85), Davis McDuff (88), and Harrison Knight (88). The gold squad scored 366 and was led by Will Warner with 86. Others on the team were Anson Williams (88), Wade Ballinger (95), Karsten Harrison (97), and Nikolai Press (102).
