Students, do not cross the road between the school and the parking lot where the buses are parked after school.  Stay behind the yellow line and follow the sidewalk around toward the ag shops to the parking lot and the lower bus exchange.  (Certainly, do not pass between two buses headed that direction—use the sidewalk.)  This is a safety violation of epic proportions and you can be thrown under the bus (literally)!

Spanish National Honor Society cords are in and can be picked up in Room 8-204.

Students that need to be doing attendance make-up time – GET IT DONE!!!!  Especially seniors who intend on graduating!!!

Give us your blood!!!  The Blood Drive is May 21.  Pick up permission slips May 11 – 17 in the cafeteria.

May 31st, a Weatherford College representative will be here to give the Compass test, which is a college placement test that students must take before enrolling in college-level courses. Those of you signing up for dual-credit courses next year, and seniors still needing the test before you start college next fall, may sign up to take the test here at Granbury High School.  There will be two testing sessions  – one at 8:45 a.m. and one at 1:25 p.m.  The testing will take place in the GHS library.

If you are interested in testing, go by the Counseling Office to sign up and learn what items you’ll need for testing.

If you are a senior who has had perfect attendance throughout high school or longer, please stop by the counseling office and let your counselor know.

Every Wednesday Wear Pink and earn a point for TEAM RAC – Raising Awareness Campaign- This is the Cancer Awareness Campaign you heard about in the assembly just before Easter.  Student Council officers will be in the cafeteria to tell you how to get your point.

Also we will have a spirit “dress-up” day each Friday. You can earn 5 points just for wearing the spirit attire and 15 points for being the best dressed for the occasion.

Any senior in the Spanish National Honor Society who has not bought cords for graduation needs to see Mrs. Rose as soon as possible. Cords cost $9.

The Activity Bus is only for students who are involved with after school activities.  Students who are not involved with after school activities, or leave campus and return to ride the activity bus, will not be allowed to board the bus.

Voter Registration forms are in the AP office, in both English and Spanish.  In order for you to vote in the next local election and the presidential election this fall you will need to be registered.

Credit Recovery is being offered Monday -Thursday,  from 4:30-6:00 in room 4-151, starting Jan. 9.  See your counselors for more information.

The following students are now Adobe Certified Associates in Premiere Pro CS5.5. This is a big honor for them. They have worked very hard for the last two years to earn this industry level certification. If you see one of these students or have them in class, please congratulate them on their hard work!
