KIWANIANS HONOR SUPER CITIZENS

The Lake Granbury Kiwanis Club honored several Hood County fourth and fifth graders as Super Citizens during a luncheon on May 3, 2012.
 
The community service organization recognizes fourth graders and fifth graders several times during the school year. The students are nominated by their teachers for good citizenship.
 
Kiwanis Club Granbury students who were honored were:
 
  • Acton Elementary School – 4th grade: Seth Barree, Clariss Layland, Jonathan Lopez, John Ramirez-Garcia; 5th grade: Kendall Wann, Krystal Wimberly
  • Baccus Elementary School – 4th grade: Evangelina Gomez, Paityn Stone; 5th grade: Morgan Fox, Randi Spurlock
  • Brawner Intermediate School – 4th grade: Ernesto Arredondo, Trinity Barnard; 5th grade: Abigail Garcia, Courtney Gilley
  • Mambrino School – 4th grade:  Kennedy Hinckley, Tommy Meador; 5th grade:  Hannah Anderson, Johnathan Duncan, Bradon Medrano
  • Oak Woods School – 4th grade: Logan Moore, Caleb Pearson; 5th grade:  Wade Neeper, Carolyn Wylie

Acton interim assistant principal Anna Roe, Baccus principal Trisha Suitt, Brawner counselor Mary Stennett, Mambrino principal Rebecca Johnson, and Oak Woods counselor Holli Moore introduced their students and read the nomination letters submitted by teachers.

Food for the lunch was donated by Chicken Express.
 
In addition to Super Citizens, the Kiwanis Club recognizes many Granbury elementary students through the Terrific Kids program. Members also sponsor the Key Club at Granbury High School and elementary K-Kids clubs.
