PLAYOFF-BOUND LADY PIRATES HONOR SENIORS

The Lady Pirate basketball team at Granbury High School recognized three graduating seniors during the final game of the regular season on February 7, 2012.  The girls secured second place in district with a 46-31 win over Crowley.

 

Honored were Maddie Cox, Kristen Mozingo, and Sierra Trotter – all members of the GHS Class of 2012.

 

The girls will have a playoff warm-up match versus Godley on Saturday, February 11 at 3:30 P.M. at the new Tiger Arena at Glen Rose High School.  They clinched the playoff berth in District 7-4A, which also includes Arlington Seguin, Burleson, Cleburne, Crowley, Everman, Joshua, and Mansfield Summit.  They are awaiting seeding playoff games among District 8 teams to determine their bi-district opponent.

 

In addition to the three seniors, the varsity squad includes Ashley Bonugli, Shelby Cline, Lauren Clough, Bailey Cole, Whitney Matos, Morgan Northcutt, and Lilley Vander Zee.  Head coach Leta Andrews is assisted by Marci Davis, Mike Pinkerton, Dina Carlton, and athletic trainer Connie Rhodes.
