Nettie Baccus Elementary School will hold its annual health and safety fair on Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 5:30-7:00 P.M.
Medical information and screening services will be available at booths manned by numerous community organizations. Among the services provided will be fingerprinting, audiology exams, posture checks, and tips on water safety.
Participants at the Baccus event will include the Citizen’s Police Academy, Clearview Chiropractic, DARE program, Family Smiles Dental, Foster’s Home Family Care, Girl Scout of America, H-E-B, Hood County Animal Shelter, Hood County EMS, Hood County Sheriff’s Department, Hood County YMCA, Lake Granbury Medical Center, Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center, Ruth’s Place Clinic, STAR Council, Texas Agrilife Extension Agency, Texas Community Outreach Associates, Texas Department of Public Safety, and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Special guests making appearances will be Simba the Lion with the Granbury Lions Club, Sparky the Fire Dog with Hood County Volunteer Fire Department, McGruff the Crime Dog, and Smokey the Bear.
