Granbury ISD Athletics and Pirate and Lady Pirate Basketball will be teaming up for games scheduled for Thanksgiving Week on November 21 and 23, 2011, to assist Hood County Christmas for Children.
In lieu of admission, volunteers will be accepting cash and toy donations to benefit the charitable organization, which provides Christmas gifts and bicycles to children from families with economic need.
On Monday, November 21, the Lady Pirates will take on the Colleyville Heritage Lady Panthers. Freshman and junior varsity squads will begin at 4:30 P.M. with the varsity following at 6:00 P.M.
The Pirates will also be playing Aledo Bearcats that night. The Freshman Purple game will start at 4:30 P.M., the junior varsity match at 6:00 P.M., and the varsity at 7:30 P.M. (These games had originally scheduled for November 22 against Glen Rose but have been moved to that Monday versus Aledo.)
On Wednesday, November 23, the varsity boys will have a single game against the Springtown Porcupines beginning at 5:00 P.M.
