With classes for the 2012-13 school year beginning on Monday, August 27, 2012, Granbury ISD announced registration schedules for new and returning students. Parents and students will also have an opportunity to meet with teachers and campus administrators.
New students are those who have not previously been enrolled in Granbury ISD. Registration for these students will be held August 7-8 at both Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center and at both Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School on August 8-9. New students at elementary campuses may register on weekdays beginning Wednesday, August 8. Kindergarten Roundup will be Thursday, August 9.
New students should bring a copy of their birth certificate, shot records, Social Security card, proof of residence (such as a utility bill), parent/guardian state-issued identification card (if available), last report card from previous school, and most recent state test scores (if applicable).
For students in grades PK-8, parents may go to www.granburyisd.org/zones in order to determine the school that their child will be attending. - Granbury High School (Grades 10-12)
Enrollment for new students at Granbury High School will be August 7-8 in the counseling office.
All GHS students may register in the foyer on the following days:
- Seniors: Thursday, August 9, 9:00 A.M.
- Juniors: Friday, August 10, 9:00 A.M.
- Sophomores: Monday, August 13, 9:00 A.M.
Sophomores will have an orientation on Monday, August 13 beginning at 6:00 P.M.
Fall Open House at GHS will be Monday, September 10 from 5:30-7:00 P.M.
- Crossland Ninth Grade Center (Grade 9)
New Student Registration at Crossland Ninth Grade Center will be Tuesday and Wednesday, August 7-8.
All Crossland students may pick up their schedules on Wednesday, August 22 from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. and 3:00-6:00 P.M.
Fall Open House/Meet the Teacher Night at Crossland will be Monday, September 10 from 5:00-6:30 P.M.
- Middle Schools (Grades 6-8)
New Student Registration at Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School will be Wednesday and Thursday, August 8-9 from 9:00-11:30 A.M. and 1:30-3:30 P.M.
All sixth graders will attend Pirate Camp from 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 22. The camp includes a campus tour, information about the school, and sessions for parents. Students will also pick up their schedules.
All seventh and eighth graders can pick up their schedule, meet their teachers, and receive other information on Thursday, August 23 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. and 4:00-6:00 P.M. Parents and students can come and go during this time.
- Elementary and Intermediate Schools (Grades PK-5)
The school district is divided into five attendance zones.
- Acton Elementary School (PK-5)
- Baccus Elementary School (PK-5)
- Mambrino School (PK-5)
- Oak Woods School (PK-5)
- Roberson Elementary School (PK-2) / Brawner Intermediate School (3-5)
Kindergarten Roundup will be held at all elementary campuses on Thursday, August 9 from 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. Students must be at least five years old on September 1, 2012, in order to enroll in kindergarten. For pre-kindergarten, students must be four years old on September 1 and meet income or other eligibility requirements.
Beginning on Wednesday, August 8, new students in grades 1-5 may register on weekdays from 8:30-11:30 A.M. and 1:00-3:30 P.M. at the elementary and intermediate schools. Elementary students enrolled last school year in Granbury schools do not need to register.
Class lists will be posted after 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 22.
Meet the Teacher Night will be held on these campuses on Thursday, August 23, from 5:30-7:00 P.M.
