Weatherford College representatives will be at Granbury High School on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 9:00-11:00 A.M. for all students and parents who need assistance with registration in dual credit classes.Dual credit courses offer opportunities for GHS students to receive both high school and college credit.
The classes are accepted by every Texas public university and most private universities. The transferable, transcripted credits apply to most degree plans. Courses are primarily taught by GHS faculty who are also adjunct instructors for WC.
“The dual credit program provides students with the rigorous academic college experience while still in high school,” commented GHS principal Jeremy Ross. “It also prepares them and their parents for the college application process before they hit their senior year. Granbury ISD is committed to assist our students and parents with this complex process and to provide the tools necessary to go through it.”
There will be several courses available in the 2012-13 school year: algebra, botany, English, drama, government, history, kinesiology, psychology, sociology, speech, and zoology.
