Students new to Granbury ISD may register during the week of August 6. This is for students who have not previously been enrolled in Granbury ISD.
All new students should bring a copy of their birth certificate, shot records, Social Security card, proof of residence (such as a utility bill), parent/guardian state-issued identification card (if available), last report card from previous school, and most recent state test scores (if applicable).
Registration for new students will be held August 7-8 at both Granbury High School (9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.) and Crossland Ninth Grade Center (8:30 A.M.-3:30 P.M.).
New GHS students will also need to return for schedule pickup in the GHS foyer on the day designated for their class:
- Seniors: Thursday, August 9, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
- Juniors: Friday, August 10, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
- Sophomores: Monday, August 13, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
All sophomores will meet at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, August 13 for a student orientation meeting.
For middle school students in grades 6-8, new student registration will be held at both Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School on August 8-9 from 9:00-11:30 A.M. and 1:30-3:30 P.M.
New students in grades 1-5 at elementary campuses may register on weekdays beginning Wednesday, August 8.
Elementary schools in Granbury ISD will hold Kindergarten Roundup from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 9 for parents to register their children for kindergarten or pre-kindergarten for the 2012-13 school year.
Students must be at least five years old on or before September 1 in order to enroll in kindergarten. For pre-kindergarten, children must meet family income guidelines and be four years old on or before September 1.
For students in grades PK-8, parents may go to www.granburyisd.org/zones in order to determine the school that their child will be attending.
