The Granbury Pirate cross country team will begin the fall season with a parent meeting on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Granbury High School.
The parent information meeting will begin at 5:30 P.M. in the Lecture Hall.
Team members will have practice the week before school starts, meeting at 6:15 A.M. on August 20-24 at the Pirate Pavilion.
During the season, runners will participate in meets at Keller Fossil Ridge, Midlothian, Lubbock, Arlington, and Grand Prairie before a District 7-4A warm-up competition on October 12 in Haltom City. The District 7-4A contest will be October 27 at the Tarrant County Resource Connection in Fort Worth.
The cross country district mirrors the same district for football and basketball with Granbury competing againstAledo, Fort Worth Arlington Heights, Fort Worth South Hills, Fort Worth Southwest, Fort Worth Trimble Tech, Fort Worth Western Hills, and Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt.
