Incoming sixth graders will have a chance to learn the middle school ropes during Pirate Camps at Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
For these students’ first year in middle school, the campuses host the camp as an orientation to the building and procedures so that the students begin the school year on the right foot.
Students will meet teachers, pick up their class schedules, and receive a tour of the building. Other information will include expectations for students, drop off and pick up procedures, bus routes, and lunch procedures.
Lunch and school shirts will also be provided.
The school year begins on Monday, August 27.
