GHS STUDENTS RECOGNIZED AT SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

Several Granbury High School students were recognized at the Granbury ISD school board meeting on August 27, 2012.
  • Marine Corps JROTC cadets presented the colors at the beginning of the board meeting. Left to right are Daniel Alaniz, David Hull, Zachary Welty, and Andrew Mullen.
  • GHS senior Mariah Rendeiro was honored for receiving the Walden Woods Project’s Environmental Leadership Award for her science project on global warming. She has also been invited to attend INESPO (The International Environment and Sustainability Olympiad) to be held June 2-3, 2013, in The Netherlands. Rendeiro (center) is pictured with GISD curriculum coordinator Heather Dollins (left) and GHS principal Jeremy Ross.
  • Five Granbury FFA students were recognized for receiving the Lone Star Degree – the highest degree of membership that the Texas FFA can award. Pictured in front are (left to right) Austin Montgomery, Ashlee Myers, Connor Cox, and Alexis Carpenter. Unable to attend was 2012 graduate Ivy Bell. In back are (left to right) agricultural science teacher Jake Parr, Ross, and agricultural science teacher Trey Keys.
