Several Granbury High School students were recognized at the Granbury ISD school board meeting on August 27, 2012.

GHS senior Mariah Rendeiro was honored for receiving the Walden Woods Project’s Environmental Leadership Award for her science project on global warming. She has also been invited to attend INESPO (The International Environment and Sustainability Olympiad) to be held June 2-3, 2013, in The Netherlands. Five Granbury FFA students were recognized for receiving the Lone Star Degree – the highest degree of membership that the Texas FFA can award.
