Ranked near the top of the Class of 2010, Snider was a member of the Lady Pirate volleyball team that recently advanced to the Class 4A regional quarterfinal playoffs.  She was also named Academic All-State by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.  Snider is also in contention for selection to one of the all-state choirs by the Texas Music Educators Association.

Snider has been accepted to Texas Christian University, according to her mother, Jone Snider.  She plans to major in both English and political science and minor in music.  Her long-term plans are to attend law school.

A segment featuring Snider will be broadcast on Sunday, January 3, 2010, during “Dale Hansen’s Sports Special,” which airs on WFAA Channel 8 on Sunday nights following the 10:00 P.M. news.

Snider is the first scholar-athlete honored for 2010.  As part of the recognition, McDonald's will donate $250.00 to Granbury High School.  At the end of 2010, Snider will be invited to a banquet for all winners chosen during the year.
