The Pirate basketball team came from behind to beat the Arlington Seguin Cougars in a nail-biting thriller on February 10, 2011, at the James Wann Sports Center.

After Granbury tied the game, senior Dillion Coplin nailed two free throws to give the Pirates the go-ahead score and the 52-50 win.

The Pirates improved to 5-7 in district play to remain in contention for a post-season playoff berth.

Members of the varsity squad are Connor Adams, Brendon Clough, Dillion Coplin, Keith Hennard, Andrew Madison, Zach Price, Jaden Solomon, Zach Villa, Tyler Welch, Briley Wood, and Tyler Wright.

Head coach David Breazeale is assisted by Josh Jones, Greg Belleau, John Forrester, and Will Hedrick.

The Pirates will be on the road to take on the Burleson Elks on Friday, February 11.  The boys will round out the regular season at home against the Mansfield Summit Jaguars on Tuesday, February 15.
