Student athletic trainer Tyler Brown, a senior at Granbury High School, is headed to Howard College in Big Spring following graduation.  The announcement was held on March 3, 2011, in the Pirate Pavilion.

Brown will receive a scholarship to cover expenses for tuition, room and board, and other educational costs.

At GHS, Brown has assisted Pirate and Lady Pirate football, basketball, and soccer teams.

“Tyler is a good kid,” said GHS athletic trainer Andy Rankin.  “He will do well in his future endeavors.  I really look forwarding to him becoming a certified and licensed athletic trainer in the near future.”

The Howard College Hawks compete in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
