CYMBAL LINE EXCELS AT DRUMLINE CONTESTS

The cymbal line from the GHS Pirate Band excelled during the drumline contest season by winning top honors at three different competitions.

The cymbal players are Ashleen Atchue, Taylor Clayton, Emily Enns, and Kayla Jumper.

In September, the group won their first award for best cymbal line at the HEB drumline competition in Bedford. That was followed by the top award at Aledo’s Unleash the Sound Marching Festival in October and then the Lone Star Classic drumline contest held in November at Flower Mound.
