Granbury High School will be hosting several boys and girls basketball teams at tourneys sponsored by Van Griffith Kia.  The three-day tournaments will run simultaneously on December 8-10, 2011.

In addition to the Pirates, the boys tourney will feature Crowley, Dallas Carter, Denton Guyer, Fort Worth South Hills, Fort Worth Southwest, Keller, Killeen, Lubbock, Mineral Wells, Nolan Catholic, and Wichita Falls Rider.

Meanwhile, the girls tournament will spotlight the Lady Pirates as well as Abilene, Arlington Seguin, Beaumont Central, Hallsville, Harker Heights, Keller Fossil Ridge, Kennedale, Killeen, Lorena, Nolan Catholic, and Stephenville.

Tourney games will be played in both the James Wann Sports Center and Pirate Gym at GHS.  Brackets are available on the GHS website at www.granburyisd.org/piratebasketball and www.granburyisd.org/ladypiratebasketball.

The Pirates include Clayton Adams, Connor Adams, Lucas Baker, Joe Brewer, Brendon Clough, Jimmy Hodges, Randy Martin, Ryan Maldonado, Collin McCann, Chad Norris, Ryan Pinson, Zach Villa, Hayden Whitley, and Briley Wood.  Head coach David Breazeale is assisted by Josh Jones, Greg Belleau, Will Hedrick, Blaze Pendleton, and athletic trainer Andy Rankin.
