Emily Phillips, a student trainer for Granbury High School athletic teams, has received the 2011-12 Academic All-State award from the Texas State Athletic Trainers’ Association (TSATA).

The Academic All-State recognition highlights student athletic trainers for excellence in the classroom.   Honorees are graduating seniors with cumulative grade-point averages of 92 or higher for grades 9-11 and the first six weeks of the senior year, are student trainers in good standing at their high school, and have good moral character.
