The Lady Pirate soccer team defeated the Crowley Lady Eagles 1-0 in the Class 4A bi-district playoffs on March 30, 2012, at Aledo Bearcat Stadium.
Granbury will face Fort Worth Carter-Riverside in the area round game on Tuesday, April 3 at Scarborough-Handley Stadium in east Fort Worth. The Lady Pirates will take the field at 6:00 P.M.
Varsity team members are Kim Bantz, Sydney Barnette, Mallory Bersi, Aubrey Caudle, Bailee Dawson, Ashley Dyson, Alex Grossman, Ashley Harris, McKenzie Harrison, Riley Hatch, Courtney Heathington, Hannah Hiler, Maggie McKenna, Lily Middleton, Tess Miller, Sarah Phillips, Gentry Railsback, Lydia Rife, and Kelci Slaughter.
Junior varsity players moving up for the post-season are Ariel Davila, McKayla Davis, Evan Jefferson, Tori Mayer, Catherine Vasquez, Jayci Welch, and Kaitlin Winkleman.
Head coach David Winkleman is assisted by Leah Gibson and Becky Grohman. Sports medicine duties are handled by athletic trainer Connie Rhodes as well as student trainer Paige Tull.
