The Lady Pirate golf team is returning to the Class 4A Region I tournament after placing second at the District 7-4A meet on April 4-5, 2012, at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose.
The five-member team shot 807 over the two-day tournament behind first-place Mansfield Summit.
Team members are senior Chelsy Childress, junior Natalie Willingham, and sophomores Chelsea Judge, Birkley Langen, and Macaul Montgomery. The girls’ head coach is Becky Addison.
Complete results for the Lady Pirates were: Team – 349-355 = 704, second. Individual – Chelsey Childress: 84-88 = 172, fifth; Chelsea Judge: 85-89 =174, seventh; Natalie Willingham: 88-89 = 177, seventh; Birkley Langen: 95-89 = 184; Macual Montgomery: 92-105 = 197.
The girls will make the trip to the regional meet on April 18-19 at the Diamondback Golf Club in Abilene. The top two teams and the top two medalists not on those teams advance to regionals.
