The Lady Pirate soccer team fell 0-1 to the Burleson Lady Elks in the Class 4A sectional playoffs on April 6, 2012, at Burleson Stadium.
The Lady Pirates won the District 15-4A title for the second year in a row. The girls defeated Crowley 1-0 in the bi-district playoff on March 30 – followed by a 4-0 romp over Fort Worth Carter-Riverside in the area title game on April 3.
Varsity team members were Kim Bantz, Sydney Barnette, Mallory Bersi, Aubrey Caudle, Bailee Dawson, Ashley Dyson, Alex Grossman, Ashley Harris, McKenzie Harrison, Riley Hatch, Courtney Heathington, Hannah Hiler, Maggie McKenna, Lily Middleton, Tess Miller, Sarah Phillips, Gentry Railsback, Lydia Rife, and Kelci Slaughter.
Junior varsity players moving up for the post-season were Ariel Davila, McKayla Davis, Evan Jefferson, Tori Mayer, Catherine Vasquez, Jayci Welch, and Kaitlin Winkleman.
Head coach David Winkleman was assisted by Leah Gibson and Becky Grohman. Sports medicine duties were handled by athletic trainer Connie Rhodes as well as student trainer Paige Tull.
