Granbury students in several grade levels will be taking the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) tests and the new State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) state exams on April 24-27, 2012.
The schedule for the week’s exams is:

In 2012, students in grades 3-9 are taking the STAAR exams. Only students in grades 10 and 11 are still taking the TAKS tests, which are being transitioned out over the next year. The state tests for all public school students are required by the Texas Legislature and Texas Education Agency.
Additional STAAR end-of-course testing will be administered on May 8-10. A complete schedule of all testing dates is available at www.granburyisd.org/testing.
