MIDDLE SCHOOL BANDS SHINE AT UIL CONTEST

AMS Symphonic Band
 
Treble ClefBands from Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School shined during UIL concert and sightreading contest held April 11-12, 2012, at Burleson High School.
 
Leading the ensembles was the AMS symphonic band, which earned sweepstakes recognition with a Division I superior rating in both concert and sightreading portions of the competition.
 
The GMS concert band received a superior rating on stage and a Division II excellent rating in the sightreading room.
 
For the AMS concert band, that group received an excellent rating for concert and a superior rating for sightreading.
 
Middle school band directors are: AMS – John Morgan and Scott Johnson; GMS – Tim Stevens and Roger Ramsey.
