Three Lady Pirate track student athletes are advancing to regionals after qualifying at the District 7-4A meet held April 11-12, 2012, at Joshua High School.
 
Madison Northcutt qualified for the fourth-straight year in the pole vault. Her 11’6” vault won her first place in the district competition. The Granbury High School senior won the bronze the state track meet in 2010. Her younger sister Morgan, a GHS sophomore, placed third with a 10’6” vault.
 
Also advancing to the regional meet was Shelby Cline in the high jump.

  • 800 Meter Run: Andrea Cabral, 2:41.32, tenth; Alee Travis, 2:43.91, eleventh; Mikayla Carpenter, 2:43.98, twelfth.

  • High Jump: Shelby Cline, 5-02, second (regional qualifier).
  • Long Jump: Tori Mayer, 14-09.5, eleventh; Shelby Cline, 14-03, fourteenth.
  • Pole Vault: Madison Northcutt, 11-06, first (regional qualifier); Morgan Northcutt, 10-06, third (regional qualifier).
  • Shot Put: Mikayla Carpenter, 26-05.5, twelfth.
  • Triple Jump: Tori Mayer, 29-03.75, ninth; Ashley Bonugli, 28-03.5, tenth; Alee Travis, 28-00.5, eleventh.

The Region I-4A track and field meet will be held on April 27-28 at Elmer Gray Stadium on the campus of Abilene Christian University.
