Granbury ISD recognized several employees for safety consciousness and energy efficiency at an awards luncheon on May 30, 2012.
“These individuals led the school district in safety consciousness and energy efficiency through commitment, dedication, and team work. Their efforts help the district save thousands of dollars as well as keep students and employees safe,” stated facilities and maintenance director Randy Leach.
Shining Star awards were presented to Crossland Ninth Grade Center child nutrition manager Theresa Daily and Maintenance Department electrician James Garlick for being accident-free for ten years.
Lead custodians and child nutrition managers accepted safety awards for their employees remaining accident-free.
The custodians were: Richard Clounch, Crossland Ninth Grade Center; Julian Gonzalez, Oak Woods School; Maria Guzman, administration; James Marten, Acton Middle School; Dale Mask, Acton Elementary School; Carmen Torres, Baccus Elementary School; Isidro Torres, Brawner Intermediate School.
Child nutrition managers receiving the accident-free award were: Mary Anne Barrow and Ami Bush, Oak Woods School; Geneva Griffith, Baccus Elementary School; Melissa Montgomery, Roberson Elementary School.
For energy efficiency, recognized were: Acton Elementary School – principal Ralph Purget and lead custodian Dale Mask; Mambrino School – principal Rebecca Johnson and lead custodian Alice Casey; and Roberson Elementary School – principal Kellie Lambert and lead custodian Ofelia Cervantes.
