GRANBURY ISD TO DISTRIBUTE REPORT CARDS ON SCHOOLS

January 22, 2008

Parents of students in Granbury ISD will be receiving report cards on their children’s schools.  The statements are being distributed this week together with the regular student report cards.

School Report Cardsprovide a subset of the information available in the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) reports on the performance of students at public schools.  The reports provide a snapshot of the district and individual schools for the 2006-07 school year.  Detailed statistics provided in the summaries include student performance on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test, teacher-student ratios, and the amount of expenditures spent on students.

“With six campuses receiving Recognized status in 2007, the School Report Cards demonstrate the success that schools in Granbury ISD had last school year,” said Superintendent William Harris.  “I hope that parents find this information useful, as these reports demonstrate not only the impressive results of our students but also the hard work of our teachers and staff.”

Parents and community members interested in the Student Report Cards and the AEIS reports may find them posted on the GISD website at www.granburyisd.org/parentcenter.  Once linked to the Parent Center, click on State Reports.
