Several career and technology education students at Granbury High School had the opportunity to hear about interesting career paths from a guest speaker on October 22, 2010.
Linda Meyer, a flight attendant with Delta Airlines, spoke about her career and discussed education and training requirements, skills needed, job tasks, working conditions, earnings potential, job prospects, and related jobs. She also told the students about some of the perks available to those working for major national airlines.
Meyer (pictured at left) is the first of several individuals from the business world that will talk about career tracks that do not necessarily follow a traditional path. Some job opportunities require certificates or apprenticeships, according to teacher Valerie Brau.
