Pirate Journal Letter 5-2-12

Dear AMS Family,

It is a very exciting time for all of us right now.   Summer is approaching, school is almost out, and vacation plans are in full swing!     We have had an extremely successful year in helping grow our kids.   There has been so many outstanding things happen it’s hard to highlight everything.    I want to give a special “Thanks” to our AMS staff for their dedication to educating our kids.     I will tell you first hand, teaching is not only a hard job; it is the most difficult job/career in the work force today.    That is why we talk about being passionate and dedicated for kids often.   In order for us to stay focused for 187 school days, a total commitment and focus is the key to working with middle school students.   I appreciate our staff so much, and they all exemplify excellence in leading and educating!

THANKS AMS STAFF FOR YOUR PASSION AND DEDICATION!!

This year we have two AMS staff members retiring from a wonderful career in education.   As they begin their new adventures in life, I just want to say “Congratulations” to Mr. Mike Cate and Mrs. Lyn Goodgion.    Both of you are true leaders for our students, and have been tremendous examples for all of us on how to lead your life as you work with kids.   Two similar qualities come to mind when I think of each of you.   Integrity and commitment!

CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. CATE AND MRS. GOODGION!!

Thank you for taking time to read through our last Pirate Journal for the year.    Next year, our Pirate Journal will be going online via a mass email.   We are hoping to effectively communicate all of AMS events and activities through an online version of Pirate Journal.   Therefore, be sure your email address is updated with our front office and skyward in order to successfully receive the Pirate Journal for next year.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer!!

Sincerely,

Jimmy D. Dawson
