Hello! My name is Matt Young and I am beginning my second year at Granbury Middle School. I teach the first half of United States History, ranging from Exploration and early colonization to the ending of the Civil War (Reconstruction). I also coach football, basketball and track at GMS.  My wife, Marie, is also employed as a teacher and coach with GISD, working at Acton Middle School.  

I am a 1990 graduate of Whitesboro High School and 1996 Graduate of McMurry University.  I was active in sports in both high school and college, fueling my desire to continue in athletics as a coach.  It is my goal to share my enthusiasm for both learning and athletics with the youth of Granbury.   Any questions, please email me and I will get back with you as soon as I am able.
