June 19, 2013 - Granbury ISD students performed above others in the state when taking the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) in the spring of 2013, according to new preliminary data recently provided the school district by the Texas Education Agency.

June 11, 2013 - Ron Holmgreen, lead assistant principal at Vista Ridge High School School in Leander, has been selected to be the new principal of Crossland Ninth Grade Center. The appointment was made by the Granbury ISD Board of Trustees during its regular meeting on June 10, 2013.

FOUNDATION RECEIVES LARGEST DONATION TO DATE
June 11, 2013 - The Granbury ISD Education Foundation received a $25,000 donation from the Granville C. and Gladys H. Morton Fund of the Communities Foundation of Texas. This marks the largest donation to date for the education foundation.

“THE WIZARD OF OZ” IS COMING TO GRANBURY
June 11, 2013 - Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center theater students will present the musical "The Wizard of Oz" during the Fall 2013. Younger students in elementary and middle school have an opportunity to join the cast during an upcoming theater camp.
