About Me...
Early Life
I was born in Small Town, Iowa, thirty-plus years ago. As fate, luck, or dislike of cold winters would have it, my family and I moved to Texas in 1985. I am a product of Keller ISD, graduating from Fossil Ridge High School in 1999.
Fun Times
Directly following high school, I traveled with a group called Up With People. Living out of a suitcase for an entire year was quite an experience. We visited 23 states and 13 different countries. It was an amazing opportunity!
Afterward, I attended Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I received a Bachelors of Science and graduated with a honors in 2004. After a short stint in social work, I became a teacher (it took my brain a little while to catch up with my heart...).
Teaching
This will be my fourteenth year in education. I taught science and math at Kirkpatrick Middle School in Fort Worth ISD for six years. This will be my eighth year with our Baccus family. I've stepped into an Instructional Specialist role and am looking forward to the challenge! I'm excited to help our campus grow. I've found the perfect home at Baccus and can't imagine being anywhere else.
Home Life
My husband, Brad, (also a teacher and coach in GISD) were married June 18, 2011. We were blessed with our first child, Gentry Elise, May 13, 2012 and our second child, Greyer Thomas, was born January 2, 2015.
