TEACHING:Hi. I am Mrs. Chastain. This will be my 8th year at Brawner Intermediate School. Before Brawner, I taught at Granbury Middle School for 12 years. I have taught several subjects at Brawner and GMS, including Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Health, Science, PE, and Math. I also coached Volleyball, Basketball, and Track.COLLEGE:I attended Tarleton State University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise & Sports Studies/Kinesiology and a Master's Degree in Education. I am certified to teach Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA, Special Education, Physical Education, and Health. I also have a Principal's Certification.FAMILY:I am married to Jason, who is a wonderful husband and father. I have a son in 11th grade and a daughter in 9th grade. All my free time is spent with my family. We spend our time doing activities, which include attending church, swimming, wakeboarding, vacationing, running, riding horses, roping, watching movies, hunting, fishing, snow skiing, anything outdoors, and just being at home.MY INTERESTS:I love sports. I still love to play basketball, softball, run, wakeboard, and snow ski. My kids love to do these sports, also. I love the outdoors. I am an avid deer hunter and I love to fish. I grew up in the country, so I was raised doing most of these things with my parents and sisters. Now, I share my interests with my own family.
