This is a one-semester course that is required for graduation. 

 

   The Government course will cover the basic principles of government, the foundations of American government, the principles of the Constitution, the amendment process, Federalism, political parties, voter behavior, elections, public opinion, interest groups, Congress, the Presidency, the bureaucracy, the Federal Courts, and civil rights/civil liberties.

   There is a lot of material to cover in a very limited time. It is in your best interest to be in class every day.

 

   The AP Government course will cover everything listed above, but in more detail. This course will also help prepare you for the AP Test. I will offer AP Test study sessions before school in the weeks leading up to the test. Be in class every day and DO YOUR OUTSIDE READING!!!!!
