A little about me;
I am a licensed paramedic and have been in EMS since 1996. I spent nearly 10 of those years working for MedStar ambulance service in Fort Worth. During much of this time I was a student preceptor and Field Training Officer. I currently work part time for Texas EMS here in Granbury, so you might occasionally see me out and about on the ambulance (hopefully not as a patient). I have a premed degree and can't decide "what I want to be when I grow up." I still would like to go to medical school, but I really enjoy teaching. I taught EMT and Paramedic classes for a private business prior to teaching at the high school level. I started teaching for GHS in 2011. I love sharing the medical knowledge I have collected and seeing the "lightbulb moments" when the information comes together and finally makes sense.
I have 2 wonderful children, one of whom is an EMT and 911 dispatcher and the other is still in high school. I am also a certified Pharmacy Technician and yoga instructor. I really like to hear about other medical professions, so am always open to guest speakers if anyone is interested.
