May 1-2, 2015 - Five GHS student athletes competed at the Region I-5A meet at Texas Tech University's Fuller Track.

May 6 and 8, 2015 - Pirates fall to Fort Worth Arlington Heights 8-3 in Game 2 of bi-district baseball playoff series. Heights takes series 2-0 to advance to area.

May 1, 2015 - Pirates shut out Crowley 9-0 in baseball regular season finale on Friday night. JV Purple won 8-2, and JV Gold won 3-2.

April 29, 2015 - Pirates fall to Aledo 5-1 in district baseball matchup on Wednesday night for final regular season home game. JV Purple fell 7-6.

April 25, 2015 - Lady Pirates fall to Crowley 13-5 in softball season finale on Saturday afternoon. JV tied 10-10.

GHS/CNGC Track - Area Meet
April 22-23, 2015 - GHS tracksters qualified for regionals in two more events on Thursday at the area track meet at Joshua HS. Jarod Adcock placed third in the long jump, while Tiffany Henney was fourth in the 800m run. They join high jumpers Gabbie Nunn and Jettin Murphy, and Dillon Graham. Henney previously advanced in the triple jump.

April 21, 2015 - Lady Pirates fall to Aledo 13-0 in district softball on Tuesday night for the last home game. JV lost 8-0.

April 20, 2015 - Pirates fall to Cleburne 10-3 in district baseball on Monday night. JV Purple lost to Joshua 8-2.

April 20, 2015 - Lady Pirates fall to Burleson Centennial 15-0 in district softball on Monday night. JV lost 12-0.

GHS Tennis - Region I-5A Tournament
April 20, 2015 - Girls doubles pair Alex Jenny and Keelyn Taylor fell to Grapevine in the quarterfinals at the Region I-5A tennis tournament in Lubbock on Monday. The duo previously defeated El Paso Chain (6-3, 5-7, 6-4) to advance to the semifinal match. In girls singles, Paige Pritchard fell to Canyon (6-1, 6-3), while mixed doubles pair Bryten Otting and Deanna Rupp fell to El Paso.

April 17, 2015 - JV Purple Baseball fell to Cleburne 12-2 on Friday, while the JV Gold doubleheader was called due to rain.

GHS/CNGC Track - District 8-5A Meet
April 15-16, 2015 - Six GHS tracksters qualified for area during Day 2 of the District 8-5A track and field meet on Thursday in Burleson. Advancing are Lady Pirates Gabbie Nunn and Jettin Murphy in the high jump and Tiffany Henney and Rachael Perriello in the 800m along with Pirates Jarod Adcock in the long jump and Dillon Graham in the high jump. Henney already qualified in the triple jump on Wednesday along with Addison Winn in the discus.

GHS Boys Golf - Region I-5A Tournament
April 15-16, 2015 - Pirate golfer Davis McDuff shot a 78 on Thursday to finish the Region I-5A tournament with a total score of 154 and eighth place overall. The GHS senior advanced as a medalist after placing fifth at the district tourney last week in Glen Rose. McDuff's regional play at The Rawls Course at Texas Tech qualified him for All-Region second team honors, according to GHS head coach Steve Ward.
