The Texas Success Initiative (TSI test) is required for any student planning to enroll in a public two-year college, four-year university, or technical school. Students seeking admission to an Educator Preparation Program must also take the TSI test.
Students may be exempted from the TSI by:
(1.) SAT: at least a 480 on the reading section and 530 on the math section
(2.) ACT: a composite score of 23 with a 19 on both the math and English sections
It is the student's responsibility to complete the registration and pay the fee to the registration center.
Register to take the TSI test at Weatherford College – Granbury Campus
The pre-assessment can take up to 45 minutes and should be taken a couple of days BEFORE the TSI. Print the completion certificate and bring it with you the day of the test.
Step 2: Register for the TSI
Send an email to
ECGBTEST@WC.EDU and
list the date that you’d like to test. Put TSI in the subject line. Representatives at the Weatherford College – Granbury Campus will test students on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.
Within 24 hours, you will get an email confirmation with your date and time to take the TSI.
Items to bring on the day of the test:
- $25 cash or debit/credit card
- Valid photo ID
- Have your Social Security number ready. This will be your user ID to log in to the test.
- Your pre-assessment completion certificate
You will not be allowed to test if you do not bring the pre-assessment completion certificate with you.
