  • 2020-21 Granbury Teachers Excellence Initative

    The Granbury Teachers Excellence Initiative (GTEI) is continuing for the 2020-21 school year. 

    Each GISD teacher is limited to $5,000 for the GTEI incentive. If a teacher has reached this maximum amount, they are not eligible for additional amounts. 

    A letter of intent is no longer required, but principals will follow up with teachers by January 29, 2021, to determine who is striving to receive GTEI and the summative must be completed by May 27. 

    To earn professional development course hours for the 2020-21 school year, teachers may only count professional development which occurred from May 27, 2020, through May 27, 2021.

  • Open Enrollment for Medical and Voluntary Insurance - July 15-August 17, 2020

    Open enrollment for medical and voluntary insurance  begins Wednesday, July 15 and will continue through Monday, August 17.
     
    This includes TRS-Active Care and all voluntary insurance products.

  • Open Enrollment for Voluntary Insurance Products (May 18-June 5)

    Open enrollment for voluntary insurance products begins Monday, May 18 and will continue through Friday, June 5.

    This does not include TRS-Active Care medical insurance. That enrollment period will begin in July.

  • Intradistrict Transfers

    All Professional Staff:  

    In order to transfer to another campus for the 2020-2021school year you must have completed your application request and your transfer must be approved by the last day of school, May 22, 2020. 

    For example, if an employee applies, interviews and is not chosen by the last day of school, May 22, 2020 then they will not be eligible for any other transfers. 

    A new professional employee that has just signed their contract cannot transfer to another campus until the following year.  

    The only exception for transfers after May 22, 2020 would be a promotion or a dual contract situation.   

    It is the responsibility of the receiving principal to notify the other principal that their employee has applied.
