Pay rates for the 2020-21 school year will remain the same for all employees.  Unfortunately, we were not able to include a pay raise in the 2020-21 budget.  As you can imagine, the ongoing pandemic as well as a sharp downturn in the oil industry have taken their toll on sales tax revenue and revenue generated from the oil industry, two key revenue sources for the state.  It is now estimated that the state will have a projected ending deficit of $4.58 billion for the 2020-21 biennium, a substantial downward revision from a previously projected surplus of $2.89 billion.  As you would expect, this revised estimate carries with it an unprecedented amount of uncertainty in the future of state funding for public education.

However, with that said, the district has been and will continue to be committed to taking care of its employees to the best of its ability.  Keep in mind that while many people lost their jobs when the pandemic started back in March, Granbury ISD was able to maintain all staff and keep everyone’s paycheck coming.  That does not mean we will not have to make some adjustments moving forward.  To that end, the district has determined our best course of action for now will be to plan a little more conservatively than usual and save for that “rainy day” if and when it comes.

You can review your salary information via the following steps in Employee Access.

    • At the 9/15/20 Check Date click the “►” sign
    • Expand “Pays” by clicking the “►” sign

If you have questions regarding your pay, please email to
