Ron Holmgreen


  • Ron Holmgreen became Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services in Granbury ISD in August 2015. 

    Holmgreen came to Granbury in 2013 to lead Crossland Ninth Grade Center, where he was the principal for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years.  He previously was lead assistant principal at Vista Ridge High School in Leander for five years. 

    Holmgreen began his educational career in 1996 as a teen leadership teacher and junior varsity baseball and freshman football coach at Duncanville Ninth Grade Center. He later taught government and coached baseball, basketball, and football at Leander High School for five years, moving to Vista Ridge in 2003 as the head baseball coach and social studies teacher. 

    He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1992 and later earned a master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University in 2009. 

    Holmgreen and his wife, Andee, have three children - one who is a 2017 graduate of Granbury High School and two others who attend Granbury schools. He has been active in the community as a volunteer with several organizations, including the United Way of Hood County and Mission Granbury.
