Updated COVID-19 Guidance & Flow Charts
Posted by Granbury ISD on 1/10/2022The Texas Education Agency has updated its Public Health Guidance to reflect new isolation periods following announcements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).For students who are positive with COVID-19 or who have a member of their household who is positive, the self-isolation period is now 10 days rather than 14 days.For staff members who are positive with COVID-19, the self-isolation period is now 5 days rather than 10 days.Flow charts on the GISD Roadmap for Reopening website have been updated to reflect this change.As the situation is currently fluid, both TEA and GISD will make adjustments as necessary. We will communicate any changes to you as soon as we can.---La Agencia de Educación de Texas actualizó su Guía de salud pública para reflejar los nuevos períodos de aislamiento luego de los anuncios de los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades (CDC).Para los estudiantes que son positivos con COVID-19 o que tienen un miembro de su hogar que es positivo, el período de autoaislamiento ahora es de 10 días en lugar de 14 días.Para los miembros del personal que dieron positivo con COVID-19, el período de autoaislamiento ahora es de 5 días en lugar de 10 días.Los diagramas de flujo en el sitio web Hoja de ruta para la reapertura de GISD se han actualizado para reflejar este cambio.Como la situación actualmente es fluida, tanto TEA como GISD harán los ajustes necesarios. New Protocol for Household-Based Close Contacts
Posted by Granbury ISD on 9/2/2021Beginning September 2, 2021: Granbury ISD will require household-based close contact students to stay at home for 14 days (as advised by the CDC based on the incubation period of the virus). This policy will remain in effect as long as Hood County’s risk of transmission level remains designated as “high.” This applies specifically to students who are close contacts because an individual who lives in the same household is COVID-19 positive.

Roadmap for Reopening - Water Bottles & Hand Sanitizer

Roadmap for Reopening - Free COVID-19 Tests
Posted by Granbury ISD on 8/12/2021COVID-19 tests will be available free of charge for all students and staff through school nurses. (Parent permission required for students.)
Las pruebas COVID-19 estarán disponibles sin cargo para todos los estudiantes y el personal a través de las enfermeras escolares. (Se requiere permiso de los padres para los estudiantes).

Roadmap for Reopening - Handwashing
Posted by Granbury ISD on 8/11/2021Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is recommended. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Se recomienda lavarse las manos con frecuencia con agua y jabón durante al menos 20 segundos. Si no dispone de agua y jabón, utilice un desinfectante para manos a base de alcohol.

Roadmap for Reopening - COVID-19 Vaccinations
Posted by Granbury ISD on 8/10/2021COVID-19 vaccinations are optional for all students and staff. Vaccinations are available at most local pharmacies free of charge.
Las vacunas COVID-19 son opcionales para todos los estudiantes y el personal. Las vacunas están disponibles en la mayoría de las farmacias locales de forma gratuita.

Roadmap for Reopening - Masks & Face Coverings
Posted by Granbury ISD on 8/9/2021Masks and face coverings are optional for all students and staff. Anyone wishing to wear a mask or face covering is welcome to do so.
Las máscaras y las cubiertas faciales son opcionales para todos los estudiantes y el personal. Cualquiera que desee usar una máscara o una cubierta facial puede hacerlo.
